Takeover Module.
Wireless module to integrate third-party wireless devices into an Ajax system. Supports 4 protocols and 3 frequencies.

Bring supported legacy radio devices together.
Takeover Module Jeweller connects listed third-party wireless detectors and key fobs to a compatible Ajax hub. It adds device names, event reporting and supervision in Ajax apps while the existing equipment keeps its original radio protocol. Each module uses one supported protocol at a time; the exact device list, hub software and regional radio version must match the installation.

Bring supported wireless devices into Ajax.

Up to eighty devices per module
Keep compatible third-party detectors and key fobs while moving their event reporting into an Ajax system. Add devices by scanning or by entering their IDs, then configure the correct type and subtype.
The limit is up to eighty supported wireless devices, subject to hub capacity. Check the exact model in the manufacturer’s compatibility table; a matching brand or frequency alone is not enough.
Select one protocol for each module.
Four protocol families, three frequencies
The supported families are Qolsys/Interlogix at 319.5 MHz, Honeywell/Resideo/2GIG at 345 MHz, and DSC or AT&T at 433 MHz.
One module operates on one frequency and manufacturer protocol at a time. Several protocols require separate modules. This legacy-device radio link is different from the module’s Jeweller link to the Ajax hub.
Match the Ajax radio version too
The specified hub-side radio band is 905.0–926.5 MHz. The module and hub must use compatible regional radio versions.
Do not assume compatibility with an existing European hub. Requires a supported hub running OS Malevich 2.41 or later; verify the regional version and exact devices before selecting this module.
Keep each device identifiable.

Device, room and event in one place
The module passes supported alarms, restoration, tamper and battery events into Ajax apps. Names, rooms and event types help users and the monitoring company understand what happened.
Available events depend on the third-party model. The legacy radio protocol does not gain new encryption or sensing capabilities merely by being connected to Ajax.
Distinguish the two communication paths.

Module-to-hub supervision
Jeweller exchanges let the hub supervise the module. With three missed packets at a 12-second interval, connection loss can be detected in 36 seconds.
Different polling settings change this time.

Legacy-device supervision
The module can flag a third-party device that has stopped reporting. The current manual offers 4, 8, 12, 18, 24 or 48 hours, with twelve hours as the default.
This is separate from the hub’s Jeweller polling interval. Select the supervision period for the actual third-party protocol and installation.
Stay connected during a power cut.

12 V DC main power
Use the supplied power arrangement rated at 12 V DC, up to 1 A. The built-in battery is charged during normal operation.
Secure the connection from module to hub.
Jeweller events and Wings updates
Jeweller carries events and status over an encrypted, authenticated link. Wings delivers available firmware updates to the integration module.
Up to 2,000 m to a compatible hub or extender in open space. The separate legacy-device link is specified up to 200 m, depending on that device. Walls and interference reduce coverage.
Report interference and physical tampering.

Module removal
The tamper reports attempts to remove the module from SmartBracket or detach it from the wall.

Connected-device sabotage events
Where a supported third-party device reports tampering, the module forwards that event into Ajax.
Only events actually supplied by the connected model can be reported.

Authenticated module communication
The hub authenticates the module and uses encrypted communication for their exchanged data.
Protection of the legacy radio link depends on its original protocol.
Check the complete legacy setup.

Mount and connect power
Secure SmartBracket indoors, route the power cable with its retainer and check the module’s final radio position.
