Detect more than an open door.
DoorProtect Plus Jeweller combines opening detection with shock and tilt sensors. It can report an opening, an impact or a change in angle, giving the system more information about what is happening at a protected entrance. Each sensing function can be configured for the door or window and the way it is used.

Know when an opening changes.
Opening detection
A reed switch registers when the supplied magnet moves away. Mount the detector and magnet on the correct fixed and moving parts, keeping the closed-position gap within the manual’s limits.
DoorProtect Plus includes small and large magnets with operating gaps up to 1 cm and 2 cm respectively. Confirm the mounting arrangement on the real frame.
Bring an additional contact into the system.
External NC input
The detector’s terminals can accept a supported third-party wired detector with a normally closed contact. An installer checks its contact type, wiring and event behaviour before connecting it.
The external detector needs its own power supply where required; DoorProtect Plus does not power it. Roller-shutter functions on DoorProtect Plus additionally depend on the supported firmware and input settings.
Know when a visitor arrives.
Chime while disarmed
Together with a compatible Ajax siren, the opening detector can announce a door opening while the system is disarmed. Different short patterns can identify different entrances.
Chime requires an Ajax siren and configuration; the opening detector itself does not sound the notification.
Power for everyday protection.
Replaceable battery power
A replaceable preinstalled CR123A battery supports up to five years of operation. Check battery state in the app and keep access for servicing.
Battery life depends on settings, use, temperature and signal conditions. Respond to the app’s low-battery notification.
A secure link to your system.
Jeweller communication
Jeweller carries alarms, status and commands between this detector and a compatible hub or range extender. The two-way link uses encryption and device authentication.
The stated range is up to 1,200 m in open space. Walls, metal and the actual installation reduce usable coverage.
Reach the areas your system needs.
Plan around walls and distance
Test the signal where the detector will be installed. If coverage is insufficient, select a compatible range extender; an Ethernet-equipped model provides another route back to the hub.
Range extenders are optional equipment. Check supported models and quantities against the exact hub before planning coverage.
Know that protection is working.
Device state in the app
The detector reports its condition to the hub. Communication, power and tamper information help identify a device that needs attention. Clear device and room names make an alert easier to act on.
Professional alarm monitoring is a separate service. Notification and connection-loss timing depend on system settings and connectivity.

Removal alerts
The tamper reports attempts to remove the detector from its mounting panel. Secure the mounting arrangement and check that the event reaches the intended users.
Authenticated communication
The hub checks the detector’s identity during communication. Encryption protects the exchanged data, while authentication helps reject a device attempting to impersonate it.
