More detail. Better balance in difficult light.

HD photo detail
Choose up to 960 × 720 pixels when detail matters. Lower resolutions reduce delivery time. These are event snapshots rather than a continuous video stream; check the image framing and available resolutions in the supplied detector’s settings.
Series contain 1–5 images at 160 × 120 or 320 × 240, and 1–3 at 640 × 480 or 960 × 720. Confirm HD availability for the exact device firmware.
Choose when a photo helps.

When the armed detector recognises movement, it sends an alarm and captures the configured photo series. The app presents the images with the event so an authorised viewer can assess what happened.
See interference as well as movement.

Enable a photo response to interference with the mounting. The photo option is disabled by default; when enabled it can operate regardless of the armed state. Check that the intended viewers receive both the event and its image.
For the HD model this requires firmware 16.132.41.30 or later on a detector manufactured from March 2026.
Give access to the right people.
Photo requests need explicit permission
Photo on demand and photo by scenario are disabled by default. An administrator or user with access to Privacy settings decides who can request and view images, and whether requests are allowed while disarmed. Review access whenever occupants or service providers change.
Confirm the monitoring route
Supported monitoring software can receive alarm photos and configured photo events. Photos on demand are not sent to a monitoring station. PRO Desktop users need an authorised personal account for on-demand access; a monitoring-company profile cannot request or view those photos.
Photo events triggered by scenarios, schedules or arming/disarming are not sent over a direct-only CMS connection. Verify the intended delivery route and permissions during commissioning.
Send the event first. Follow with the detail.
Up to 4.5 seconds at 320 × 240
For a direct connection to the hub, the manual gives up to 3 seconds at 160 × 120, 4.5 seconds at 320 × 240, 11 seconds at 640 × 480 and 15.5 seconds at 960 × 720. Alarm messages are sent immediately; image delivery depends on resolution, signal and internet conditions.
A photo request can take up to 3 additional seconds to start capture. A range extender changes delivery time. Confirm HD support for the exact supplied firmware before choosing it.
Recognise movement. Filter thermal interference.

SmartDetect analyses the thermal pattern
The PIR sensor reads changes in infrared radiation. SmartDetect evaluates the size and movement of the warm area, radiation intensity and time in the detection zone to help distinguish a person from interference.
Cover the room with the right sensitivity.
Up to 12 m at a 2.4 m mounting height
The PIR sensor and Fresnel lens provide a horizontal motion-detection angle of 88.5°. Choose Low, Normal, High or Very high sensitivity, then walk-test the expected intrusion path.
Very high is the manual’s setting for INCERT compliance. Camera framing and motion coverage are different; confirm both with tests.
Pet immunity depends on placement
Correct installation and suitable sensitivity support animals up to 20 kg and 50 cm tall. A pet jumping onto furniture or moving close to the lens can still trigger an alarm. Test the actual room rather than relying on weight alone.
Secure the enclosure and its mounting.
Fit the holding screw and test the tamper
The tamper switch reports attempts to interfere with the detector’s mounting. Fix SmartBracket permanently, secure its breakaway section and fit the holding screw. Confirm that alerts reach the app and intended monitoring service.
The HD model has no anti-masking system. Choose a model with that function if the installation needs protection against a blocked view.
Protect the event and photo connections.
Event radio and TurboWings
The event radio link carries alarms, commands and status. TurboWings transfers photos. The current technical specification states up to 1,700 m in open space; actual coverage depends on the hub, obstacles and interference.
Superior Jeweller and over-the-air firmware updates require a detector manufactured from March 2026 with firmware 16.132.41.30 or later. Earlier units use regular Jeweller and do not support firmware updates. A compatible hub with OS Malevich 2.27 or later is required.
Plan coverage through the building.

Choose a compatible photo-capable extender
Check the exact detector firmware, hub and extender together. Superior ReX G3 is the manufacturer’s current range-extension route; a wired Ethernet link can help carry traffic through difficult parts of the building.
The HD manual also supports ReX 2. The original ReX does not provide this detector’s required photo path. Extender capacity and enhanced radio functions depend on the complete system.
Plan the next battery service.
Two replaceable CR123A batteries
The calculated maximum is up to 4 years with Photo on demand disabled, or up to 3 years with it enabled. Low-battery warnings help arrange replacement before operation is affected.
Actual life depends on photo use, radio conditions, polling and temperature. Use the exact replacement procedure, then test motion detection and photo delivery.
Know when the connection needs attention.

Monitor the detector’s current state
Regular exchanges with the hub report communication, battery and tamper status. The system identifies the affected device and room when a fault requires attention.

Check the configured notification delay
A 36-second connection-loss example assumes a 12-second polling interval and three missed packets. Different polling settings change the delay. Test the configured event route before handover.
Pair the device. Test the complete photo path.
Add the exact detector by QR code
An accredited Ajax partner pairs the detector in Ajax PRO, checks compatible hub software, and assigns its room and security group. Verify the radio region as well as the model; similar names do not establish compatibility.
Use it in the intended indoor environment.
Clear views and suitable surroundings
The operating range is −10 to +40 °C with humidity up to 75%. An IP50 enclosure is for indoor use. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, obstacles close to the lens and condensation. Recheck detection and photos after changing the room layout.
