uartBridge connects supported Ajax wireless detectors to a third-party security or smart-home controller through UART. It supplies detector events and status to the host’s software, which must implement the documented protocol. This receiver is intended for a planned hardware and software integration.

Wireless detectors to your UART integration
uartBridge receives events and status from supported Ajax detectors and exchanges them with a third-party controller over UART. The host application must implement the documented protocol and decide how each event is handled.
This is a receiver for a third-party controller. It is not an Ajax hub and does not bring third-party wired detectors into an Ajax app.

Up to 85 devices over UART
The interface runs at 57,600 baud. The board has a WH-4 four-pin plug and requires the matching HU-4 socket for the wire-to-board connection. The host must handle registration, arming state, detector data and faults through the protocol.
The specified maximum is 85 connected devices. This is an integration module requiring host software, not a USB adapter or a ready-made smart-home app.

An exact compatibility list
These receivers support the listed legacy Ajax devices. A product sharing the Jeweller name, enclosure or family name is not automatically compatible.

They do not connect to an Ajax hub and do not provide Wings photo verification. Use the exact supported generation; FireProtect 2, MotionCam, Pass and Tag are not in this receiver list.
Check the actual radio link
The specified maximum distance is 2,000 m in open space. Walls, metal, enclosure placement and the detector model affect the usable link. Test radio strength and detection at the installation site.
Two-way Jeweller communication includes encryption, authentication and jamming detection. Choose the correct regional radio version and implement alarm, fault and lost-device handling in the receiving system.
Commission the module with its host.
Power and test the complete integration
Provide the specified 5 V DC supply through the interface and follow the documented connector and protocol requirements. Fit the board securely inside the host enclosure, leaving the antennas suitably positioned for radio reception.
Test registration, arm/disarm commands, alarm delivery, lost-device supervision and jamming reporting in the actual host application. Both the integration code and the installed radio link need verification.
