FireProtect Jeweller combines photoelectric smoke detection and a temperature sensor. Its built-in siren can warn locally without a hub; a compatible Ajax hub adds notifications and interconnected alarms. Replaceable main and backup batteries support operation, while cleaning alerts help you maintain the smoke chamber.

Two ways to detect signs of fire.
Photoelectric smoke sensing
An infrared emitter and a photoelectric receiver monitor the smoke chamber. Smoke changes the light reaching the receiver. HazeFlow analyses the smoke signal to help filter interference.
A local alarm. A connected response.

The detector can sound its own siren without a hub. It remains active regardless of whether the intrusion system is armed. Sound and light patterns distinguish alarms from maintenance warnings.
Main batteries, with a separate reserve.
Two CR2 batteries and a CR2032 backup
Two pre-installed CR2 batteries provide the main power, with up to 4 years of battery life. A separate CR2032 battery provides backup. The batteries are replaceable; respond to each low-battery indication and follow the replacement procedure.
Battery life varies with settings and use. Battery replacement does not reset the detector’s service life.

Jeweller radio
Encrypted two-way communication and device authentication help protect the connection. Frequency hopping and jamming detection support radio reliability. Ajax specifies up to 1,300 m between the device and a hub or range extender in open space.
Match the regional radio version and confirm exact hub compatibility. Walls and interference affect reception; test the signal at the installed position.
Install, pair and test.
Secure it on SmartBracket
Choose the position using the detector’s placement instructions, check radio reception, and fix SmartBracket securely. The supplied mounting panel lets you install the detector without opening its enclosure.
Indoor use only: 0 to +65 °C, humidity up to 80%, IP40. Keep the specified clearances from corners, beams, ventilation and sources of routine steam or cooking fumes.

Respond to cleaning alerts
The detector checks the smoke chamber and signals when dust needs to be removed. Follow Ajax’s cleaning procedure and test the detector afterwards. This generation requires that maintenance when the warning appears.
Plan for the detector’s service life.
Up to 10 years
The FireProtect Jeweller manual specifies a service life of up to 10 years. Replace the detector at the end of that period and act on earlier fault indications. Changing the batteries does not renew the sensors.

- The HazeFlow software algorithm checks for smoke before activating the alarm. The system will ignore the first triggering and raise an alarm if the device detects the smoke again after 30 seconds during the second check.
