Fire system project review

Requires a compatible EN54 fire CIE. Two dry-contact inputs and two relay outputs integrate external equipment; the module does not power the connected devices.

What else needs checking?

Use current compatible panel software. Optional fireman-key access requires EN54 Fire Hub with OS Malevich 2.40 or later and supported app versions.

Match regional radio versions and the requirements of the planned fire system.

Resistive loads only: AC 10–250 V up to 10 A; DC 10–30 V up to 5 A. Verify the normal contact state, configured response, external supply and any fail-safe action.

Connect the signal to the response.

EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller brings two wired inputs and two independent relay outputs into the Ajax fire system. Receive signals from external equipment and configure the required response through Ajax apps. The battery-powered module communicates wirelessly with the fire panel; connected equipment uses its own power supply.

Bring wired signals into the fire system.

Smart integration of third-party devices

Two configurable inputs

Connect equipment with potential-free dry contacts, such as beam smoke detectors, flow switches or control panels. NC, NO, EOL, 2EOL and 3EOL connections are supported; 3EOL can distinguish three signals from one connected device.

Set each input’s event type, normal state and resistance values in Ajax apps. Connected equipment requiring power needs its own supply. Each connected device occupies a slot in the fire panel’s device limit.

Control the planned emergency response.

Two independent relay outputs

Potential-free, galvanically isolated contacts can operate suitable door release, ventilation, lighting or alert equipment. Configure the required normal state and automation response, or control an output from Ajax apps or the fire panel.

  • AC: 10–250 V, from 5 mA to 10 A with a resistive load.
  • DC: 10–30 V, from 5 mA to 5 A with a resistive load.
  • Outputs switch a separately supplied circuit; they do not supply power.

The AC rating must not be applied to DC or assumed for inductive loads. Verify the external equipment and its interface in the project design.

Define what happens during a fault.

Optional fail-safe behaviour

With Fail-safe mode enabled, the module activates connected output devices if it goes offline, runs out of battery or has a hardware fault. They remain activated until the fault is resolved.

Choose the contact state and fail-safe setting for the connected equipment’s required response. Test a fault as well as an alarm before handover.

A supervised link to the fire panel.

Jeweller, built in

Two-way Jeweller radio carries commands, alarms and device states to the compatible fire panel. Encryption, authentication and frequency hopping protect the link without a separate radio module.

Up to 1,700 m is an open-space figure. Walls and the installation layout reduce usable range. EN54 Fire ReX can extend the route; survey each link at its final position. Alarm delivery and connection-loss timing depend on the system and its settings.

Independent module power.

Efficient autonomy for years to come

Two replaceable CR123A batteries

The module runs on two pre-installed batteries without an external supply. Ajax states up to five years with the standard 36-second polling interval; use and conditions affect actual service life.

The module cannot power connected devices. Replace depleted batteries promptly and run the functional test after replacement.

Keep the circuit and device state in view.

Useful events for the responsible team

Choose fire, gas, evacuation, device fault or another supported input event. EOL supervision can report cable breaks, short circuits and faults according to the selected connection type.

Custom input events are not sent to the monitoring software. Verify the received event codes and locations; tamper, battery and radio faults are supervised separately.

Controlled access with a fireman key switch.

An optional authorised-access input

A compatible third-party fireman key switch with dry contacts can grant access level 2 when activated and restrict access again when released. A linked access code can identify the responsible user.

Requires EN54 Fire Hub with OS Malevich 2.40 or later and supported apps: mobile Security System 3.48, mobile PRO 2.48, or Desktop/PRO Desktop 5.48 or later. Configure Fire panel login for the wired input and test both key positions.

Connect, configure and commission.

Adding to the CIE

Add the module and its wired devices

Scan the module QR code, assign the fire zone, room and location, then add the connected inputs and configure the outputs. Confirm the panel’s device capacity.

Use a compatible fire CIE with current software and the matching radio region; an ordinary intrusion hub is not a substitute.

Service benefits & conditions

Eligibility, availability and service terms are confirmed with your quote.

  1. Included installation. Applies to eligible wireless equipment purchases with an agreed total from €6,000 including VAT. The proposal confirms the installation scope and local coverage. Configuration, agreed wireless installation, oversight, tests and training are included. Electrical and plumbing work and monitoring subscriptions are separate. G3 and Superior wireless S-line products do not count towards the €6,000 eligible equipment budget and are not covered by the included-installation offer. Their installation is quoted separately. Fibra and cabling are also quoted separately. Only eligible battery-powered wireless devices, ordinary hubs, ReX and wireless kits contribute. Devices requiring additional power or wired connections (including Relay, WallSwitch, LightSwitch, Socket, Outlet, FireProtect 2 AC and integration modules), WaterStop, Hub BP, video and EN54/Type4 equipment do not count. Accessories, delivery and Care fees do not count either. Hub and ReX connection to an existing socket is included; new power supplies, cabling, electrical and plumbing work are arranged separately. Included installation is available at one property in Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia and includes preparation and the visit. Below €6,000 of eligible equipment, it is a paid option at checkout. Your basket shows the complete service price, including VAT; scope and the visit date are agreed before installation.
  2. Free EU delivery. Free equipment delivery within the EU. Stock, dispatch and destination service are confirmed before accepting your order. Where a three-business-day delivery service is confirmed, it runs from dispatch. Split shipments and made-to-order products may follow separate agreed schedules. Delivery agreed as free does not acquire an undisclosed surcharge. Installation is scheduled separately.
  3. Payments, finance and leasing. Monthly payments and leasing with an upgrade option require a separate agreement, subject to finance-provider approval, credit eligibility and country availability. The provider, deposit, APR, fees, total payable, duration, ownership and return or upgrade conditions are explained before any agreement. An enquiry or saved preference does not activate credit.
  4. Personal setup. One scheduled remote first-setup session for eligible equipment purchased from SAFE365. Equipment must be ready for configuration. Session scope, language and availability are confirmed when booked; physical installation and cabling are separate unless included in your project.
  5. Care 24. Included remote support and agreed remote maintenance for the first 24 months for eligible SAFE365 purchases. The start date, support hours, access permissions and covered tasks are confirmed with your order. On-site work, 24/7 alarm monitoring and extended hardware cover are not included unless separately agreed. Statutory rights and the manufacturer's applicable warranty are unaffected.
  6. Local installation. Partner coverage varies by country and postcode. A named partner, the work scope, responsibility and price are confirmed in writing before commitment. Local installation is included only for an eligible agreed package; otherwise it is quoted separately.
  7. Included system preparation. Preparation is included from €3,000 of eligible equipment, including VAT after discounts. The order must include an eligible hub. We configure, label and check the marked wireless devices and provide individual instructions. Below the threshold, preparation is a paid option at checkout; your basket calculates the price. The same equipment eligibility rules as for included installation apply. Service charges do not count towards either threshold.
