A clearer picture after dark

Hybrid mode uses infrared for the regular night view and switches to white light when motion or a selected object is detected. Colour footage can help distinguish clothing or a vehicle’s colour. Both IR and white light have a stated range up to 50 m.

The white light is visible and can draw attention to the camera. Configure its triggers and check the night-time image on site; illumination range is not identification distance.

Frame the space you need

Choose a 2.8 mm lens for a wider scene or a 4 mm lens for a narrower view. The 5 MP sensor records up to 2880 × 1620 pixels; the 8 MP sensor records up to 3840 × 2160 pixels. These are fixed lenses, not motorised zoom lenses.

The 5 MP versions offer up to 25 fps; the 8 MP versions offer up to 20 fps.

Keep bright and dark areas readable

True WDR balances uneven lighting within the same scene. These variants list a dynamic range of 120 dB. Adjust image settings in the Ajax app and review the actual entrance or window area you need to watch.

Your cameras, together

Arrange live camera views in a video wall and change their order as your priorities change. Use Ajax apps on a phone, computer or supported TV to check several viewpoints without opening each camera separately.

More than one property

Bring views from different Ajax spaces into one video wall. Each account sees the cameras it has permission to access; combining views does not grant access to another property.

Search by what happened

Filter the archive by movement, recognised objects or a recording scenario. Open a relevant event instead of searching an entire day of footage.

Go straight to a date

Use the calendar and timeline to move through available recordings. The recording schedule, image settings and storage capacity determine how far back the archive goes.

Keep a useful clip

Select and export the part of a recording you need. These cameras add an Ajax digital signature to downloaded clips. Open the original exported file in Ajax Media Player to check its authenticity and whether it has been altered.

From notification to footage

Link a camera to the area it watches. A system event can take you to the relevant video so you can understand what happened at the property.

Record when a detector triggers

Create a video scenario that links selected Ajax detectors to a camera. The camera records the event for review in Ajax apps. Set up the detector, scenario and recording storage before relying on alarm clips.

People, pets and vehicles

The camera processes object recognition locally. Choose the object types that should trigger recording and use them as archive filters. This is object classification, not identification of a particular person.

Movement in the right places

Set the motion detection area and sensitivity in the app. Exclude irrelevant movement from the trigger area to make event recordings more useful and avoid filling the archive with unnecessary activity.

Hide a sensitive part of the picture

Add privacy zones to obscure areas such as a neighbouring window or a keypad. A privacy zone masks part of the image; a motion detection zone controls where movement triggers an event. They serve different purposes.

A camera without a default password

The Ajax connection uses mutual TLS certificates and binds the camera to one space. Add it through the Ajax app instead of relying on a shared factory password. Protect the account separately with two-factor authentication and session control.
